About Me:

I am a cute wee thing from the rain forests of New Zealand...

My favorite food is the Flugar berry lightly roasted over an open volcano vent...Its kind of wet and cold where I come from but I have lots of cute fur to keep me warm. I live up in the trees, where I have a lovely home built up there. Its very warm and it is lined with exotic bird feathers that I collected off the forest floor on some of my many, many walks. Some of them were kindly given to me by my bird friends (of which I have many). I am an apprentice scribe in my tribe. Some say my parents came from a land far, far away too. I love going to the dances and ceremonies. They are fun... :-)

My Computers:

Hi, where do I begin... um... well from the first I guess.
Ahem! my first computer was a 48K Spectrum, it had great games, but a tad slow on getting the games loaded into the computer. Usually I could have a meal while waiting, but all in all it was a great little computer with great games. The keyboard with the rubbery keys was also a little hard to type on with my chubby little ewokie fingers.

I then grew up and became a bigger ewok and earning some money I was able to save enough to get myself an Amiga 500, the speed was incredible, that is compared to my Speccy. Did miss the Speccy games though, anyway the Amiga was even better when I was able to afford buying a hard drive. It was great, I was on cloud 9 no need to load programs on the computer by disk, had great games as well. But alas, I ran out of space on my hard drive, so again my ewok feet went out looking for something that would suit my new found needs. Was given a special deal by the person who sold me my 500, and traded my 500 for an Amiga 3000. Wow!... now that is truly fast, compared to my previous computers. The 3000 runs at 25 MHz blitzed the Speccy and 500, unfortunately some of my fav games wouldn’t run on the 3000. So I decided to use the Amiga on a more serious side with word processing using Prowrite and Final Writer, spreadsheeting with MaxiPlan, music with Deluxe Music and painting with Deluxe Paint. One of my favourite programs is PageStream a Desk Top Publishing program, I couldn’t live without Directory Opus a directory utility. When I get time I’m planning on linking my Midi Keyboard to my computer and make great music, that is when I’ve figured it out how to link the two together.

With most areas being PC based now, e.g. work, I went through a dilemma, I needed to also have PC knowledge so I could keep myself up with the play. So I decided to buy a Toshiba Tecra 500CDT laptop, which is a cool Pentium 120. This computer gave me the ability to take it to work if I needed to, and I have on occasions. The PC is used more for internet and business purposes. I do like Microsoft Word, a word processing program. This PC is also equipped with a MPEG card in the computer which allows me to play MPEG video cd’s, cool eh!

As time went on I realised the laptop was not sufficient for my computer needs. As I needed space for another computer, I had to decide on whether to sell the Amiga or my laptop. As I have been neglecting my Amiga due to the lack of support. I knew the Amiga needed to go to a good home, where it would no longer be neglected. So sadly I had to sell it, I even had second thoughts as I was packing it up, but knew the new owner would be sad if I had changed my mind. Goodbye Amiga, I will always have fond memories, this is a sad moment..............(sniff!) :(

Nearly a year later I finally bought another PC, a TPG Orion Multimedia System. This one is real cool, 17inch flat screen monitor and a cool Pentium III 1GHz, wahoo! I can do everything I did on the laptop but much much faster, it's just wonderful. I love my TPG Computer.

Two years later, I felt like a change, okay the PC was still suitable for my needs so instead I bought a new black case for my PC. Like humans who have facelifts I had a caselift, hehehe! it's cool. To help me so my little furry fingers don't get repetitive strain injury or occupational overuse syndrome I have a cool wireless keyboard with the numbers on the lefthand side and a wireless optical mouse, this is so cool as well. Plus the keyboard matches my case being silver and black.

Well I guess all great things must come to an end, including this chat with you all. Thank you, for taking the time to listen to my ramblings, I just hope I didn’t bore you. Don't forget to click on the links above to see photos of my past Amigas and my present computers.

Farewell for now.
